Sharon is a dynamic and versatile barrister with a broad practice spanning both criminal and civil litigation. She is well known for her meticulous preparation, clear advocacy, and practical problem-solving approach.

Sharon is a dynamic and versatile barrister with a broad practice spanning both criminal and civil litigation. Prior to her call to the Bar, she gained valuable experience as a biomedical engineer and a loss adjuster, equipping her with a rare combination of technical acumen and commercial insight. This unique foundation enhances her ability to advise on and advocate in complex matters involving scientific, financial, and regulatory dimensions.

Sharon maintains an active and diverse practice, regularly appearing in courts across a wide range of legal areas, including Criminal law, Civil fraud and commercial litigation, Personal injury and medical negligence, Land and property disputes, water leakage cases, Contractual disputes and Company and securities law. She is frequently instructed to advise on Regulatory matters involving the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), Public procurement and tendering under the WTO Agreement on Government Procurement, Complex civil claims, including those involving cross-border elements. Sharon is known for her meticulous preparation, clear advocacy, and practical problem-solving approach.

Sharon is actively involved in the work of the Hong Kong Bar Association, currently serving on the Committee on Legal Aid Reform (since March 2022), Standing Committee on Civic Education (since February 2019) and Standing Committee on Mental Health and Well-being.  She is committed to promoting access to justice, civic awareness, and mental health within the legal profession.

Sharon has taught on the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) programme at City University of Hong Kong, reflecting her dedication to legal education and mentoring future practitioners.

Sharon has a growing interest and expertise in medical law, particularly in the area of assisted reproductive technology (ART), and participates in initiatives aimed at modernising Hong Kong’s legal and ethical frameworks in this evolving field. Her medical background uniquely positions her to contribute meaningfully to policy discussions bridging law, science, and ethics.

Beyond her legal practice, Sharon is deeply committed to community service and education.  She presently serves as a director of a charitable organisation that provides scholarships and overseas learning opportunities for underprivileged students; a management Committee Member of a government secondary school, contributing to governance and policy development; and a Committee Member of her primary school alumni association, supporting alumni engagement and school development.
